Annotation
Background:
Following the recommendations of BMW01 and SC22, further work has been undertaken to develop the candidate BET MP framework, including its spatial application, candidate TRPs, and HCR design for managing longline and purse-seine fisheries. These elements require further management consideration to refine the candidate MP framework ahead of WCPFC23.
BMW02 action:
BMW02 should consider the proposed approach to BET MP design and operation, including the spatial application, TRP, and HCR design, and provide management guidance on these elements to narrow the candidate MP options for further evaluation and consideration before WCPFC23 (see also Agenda Item 4).
