Background: 

Following the recommendations of SC22, the SSP has undertaken further work on the BET OM framework, including revision of the OM grid and re-evaluation of the estimation method. The revised OMs and associated EM testing will be briefly presented to BMW02. They will ultimately be for review and adoption by the special SC to be convened immediately prior to WCPFC23.

BMW02 action: 

Recognising that adoption of the OM grid and estimation method is the role of the SC, BMW02 should note the updated OM grid and EM testing, the implications for the updated MP evaluations presented under Agenda Item 3.3 based upon the revised OM grid and identify any management guidance needed to support further scientific evaluation before WCPFC23.
