TCC22 will consider a paper considering resources to support the entry of ROP observer reports (WP24E). TCC21/WCPFC22 tasked the Secretariat and SSP to set out the existing data flows used to create CCFS cases from observer data and to update those cases. IP04 is that description: the CCFS has operated since 2016 and, since 2019, as a secure searchable system to help CCMs track alleged violations by their flagged vessels. The ROP IWG has been developing a process under which the responsible ROP CCM would provide relevant observer information for case creation directly to the Secretariat, removing the need for the SSP to transfer that information. The ROP-IWG papers under 5.7 and 7.4 (WP24 and 24A–24D) and the ROP annual report (RP02) sit within that work.
