Agenda Item 4.1.1 Provide advice on data collection and monitoring in support of management procedures and implementing CMMs
Annotation
TCC will provide technical advice on monitoring and data needs to support management procedures and related CMMs, consistent with the Harvest Strategy Workplan endorsed at WCPFC22.
Regarding the Skipjack Monitoring Strategy, TCC22 will consider the SSP information on trends between effort and catch in the purse-seine fishery, including effort creep, requested by TCC21 and subsequently forwarded by SC22.
Regarding the South Pacific albacore Monitoring Strategy, TCC22 may also consider MCS matters referred by SPAA01 to the TCC Chair for consideration at TCC22, in support of development of the implementing measure, including the MCS papers recommended by SPAA01 for consideration at TCC22, US DP01 and FFA IP02.
